Helen's my favorite character. She's a career woman, juggling her
responsibilities as the head of the medical arm at The Academy, her energy
research work as well as her duties as an elite warrior. As such, she has no
time for her personal life. Not that she has any complaints about it. Her
busyness keeps her mind away from the emotional scars from her past. She is
cynical about romance and considers herself a very logical person.
She gravitates towards Torin
as she admires his mental powers and logical mindset. She works closely with
him, sometimes behaving as if she is his second in command. (Jake
is Torin's real second in command though he seldom exerts his authority.)
Opposites attract. Helen has a deep friendship with Bob,
which sometimes treads the fine line between friendship and romance.
