This stand alone version includes an additional chapter, Sarah's Journal, which is not found in A Warrior's Death Trilogy. It contains two entries from Sarah's private diary. The first reflects the past events that led to her eventual capture by the Ven'eelgs. It is a touching story of friendship between Sarah, Lily and Joey. The second is light-hearted tale of a day in her life during the time when Jake was training her as a warrior.
I have to give Ms. Yong props here. Her story is very creative. I truly cannot think of one single book I have ever read that has included anything even remotely close to the Spidr’ac in Warrior Girl.
I’m also very much in like with her comparisons, which added a level of humor to this fantastic story.
In my humble opinion, Ms. Yong has a ton of potential that she has tapped into here, and with a little more experience, could be on the level with David Farland (Wizard Born). This is worth the read, especially when you see what the imagination can create!

This book is filled with great descriptive writing right through. The author has put a huge amount of effort into this book and that effort has made a great story.
I love the way she describes the reptilian creature, perfectly detailed in the book and on the wonderful cover and that’s been well designed and its very eye catching and presentable.
The warrior girl in this story is to face an adventure and the author has used wonderful words to fulfil it. Her emotions, strength, weakness, etc...
I would recommend this book to someone that enjoys a good fantasy journey in a book as this is one of the best I have seen in a long time.
