In every fantasy story, there other characters that represent good and those
that represent evil. In the sfxfantasy series, the dark beasts are the vampiric
bats and spiders, Ven'eelgs, Bara'ads, dragons, dark warriors and all creatures
from the dark realm that are sent to take over the world of the warriors.
Most of these beings are birthed by the dark energy source, they enter physical
realms through dark portals. These are the creatures the warriors
are trying to drive out of their world.
Ven'eelgs
- Reptilian creatures with human torsos and a lethal venom. They have a speech
impediment.
Dragons
and dragon lords - When the story begins, Sarah
is held captive in a dragon's den. The dragon lord had special plans for her.
She
serpents - Similar to the Ven'eelgs but the she serpents are more
cunning. A she-serpent typically adopts a seductive female form to trap a male
warrior and to use him as her vessel of destruction.
Spidr'acs
- These are giant spider humanoids. Sometimes known as the vampire spiders as
they bite the necks of their victims in order to suck out the victims' life
force.
Bate'evons
- These are bat like creatures with vampiric characteristics. A Bate'evon is a
cross between a giant bat and a human. Some are from the dark source. Others
were once human. When a human is bitten by a Bate'evon, that human either dies
or morphs into a new Bate'evon.
Hooded
men - Though they look like men from afar, they are not human.
Within the hoods, there is nothing but darkness and a pair of glowing red lights
for eyes. They grasp things with skeletal hands.

Bara'ads
- Jelly like sentient beings that are able to take on any form they please. In
their natural state, they are like mounds of black jelly.
Bacca’adan
- These are similar to the Bara'ads except that they are harder to kill. It
takes far more firepower to kill a Bacca'adan than it does a Bara'ad.
Dark
energy beings - The dark warriors of the energy realms. They
influence the physical realms through the other dark beasts. In their own realm,
they can overpower the elite warriors when they have the element of surprise on
their side.
Dark
energy source - The source of the dark beasts. A throbbing mass of
intelligent dark energy that rules the energy realm.
